2014 }My Year in Review

Wow. This year. This year has been such an amazing ride. I have met so many great couples, laughed with fun families and gone on so many crazy adventures all because of this awesome job. Today I was taking some time to reflect on this year, and I was thinking about how it’s so easy to get caught up in the present or exciting future plans but it’s also fun to reflect on the past and really take a look at what you’ve done. It’s so fun going through all of the photos from this last year every Wedding, session has a story.  This year has been pretty magical. One of my favorite things about photography is that it’s constantly pushing me. Pushing me outside of my comforts and pushing me into crazy and ridiculous adventures that I wouldn’t normally be getting in to. Looking back on this year, this job has had me hiking alongside cliffs,  climbing in trees and fences, going to the Rockies in the rain just to get some gorgeous shots with a waterfall, traveling  to different states every month for Boudoir sessions, crawling through caves,  jumping in the water, laying on the ground in the middle of Downtown Denver, standing in the middle of the road for uncomfortable amounts of time, standing in the rain , having meaningful conversations with women in their underwear  you name it. I will do it. Anything for a good shot. It doesn’t feel like work to me it feels like fun and It makes me so happy and fulfills me in a way that I could never have imagined. I love this job.

More importantly I love my clients. For all of the new friends I’ve made this year, and all of the amazing people that I’ve met, I couldn’t be happier. Thank you for pushing me creatively, thank you for making me laugh and showing me your view on love, and family and good laughs. Thanks for bringing me into your world and letting me tell your story. Thanks for constantly keeping my mind and my heart open. Thanks for the sweet notes, and awesome reviews.

Thanks for making me ugly cry at your first dance…and ugly cry while I edit your photos listening to really bad love songs. Thank you for letting me bust a move at your reception. Thank you for making my year the most amazing year I’ve had yet, if it weren’t for you my heart wouldn’t be so full.  Oh my gosh the things that are going to happen in 2015!

I decided to pick one favorite photo from every shoot I did this year and a few behind the scenes and outtakes .. there may be a double or two in there I couldn’t help it. I have had so much fun shooting with amazing photographers and friends <3 I loved our coffee runs, after wedding taco bell dinners and  road trips so many laughs and unforgettable memories.  Enjoy looking through the magical whirlwind that was 2014. I'm so excited to see what 2015 brings!
